The San Sebastián International Film Festival is considered the most important festival in the Spanish-speaking world. A selection of films produced worldwide in the last year compete at the Official Selection. It is also considered as the bridge between Europe and Latin America film industries and a meeting point for industry professionals from all over the world. San Sebastián also covers every stage on the value chain of film production through The Industry Club activities: Ikusmira Berriak, Co-Production Forum, Films in Progress and 2017 new activity, Glocal in Progress. Most of the films, once completed, are selected for the Festival's different sections. The 2017 Donostia Awards will be granted to Monica Bellucci, Ricardo DarÃn and Agnès Varda.
