“They say the worse that can happen to a mother is to lose a child. I do not agree: it is much worse to have a sick child with no hope of recovery and see him suffer every day”.
Paquita is telling us this, a 62 year old woman whose son is schizophrenic. Paquita and Cristian open the doors to their world though their own filming. The outcome is a moving and rue portrait of how it is to live with a mentally disturbed member in the family.
